NPR named “Original Dreamers” as one of the best 2019 Latinx songs in their “Latin Roots: The Best Alternative Songs Of 2019” list.

“This playlist is a carefully-curated selection of Latinx artists who created intriguing, unforgettable and soul-boosting sounds,” NPR World Cafe contributor Sandra Treviño wrote. “Whether addressing politics surrounding immigration or speaking in solidarity with victims of inhumane treatment... [artists] did not hold back in taking things to another level.”

“Original Dreamers” was written in honor of immigrants and DREAMers out there.

“Nunca pensé tener tanto apoyo y amor cuando finalmente decidí escribirle una canción a mi mamá. Sus desafíos como inmigrante. And even with all that, she still had hope and vision for me and my future. Gracias mamá, wherever you are. But, I guess now you’re in this song for ever.” —MPD

The single’s available on Spotify and Apple Music.
